Mindset is everything.

As we embark on this new Ship30for30 trip, I can tell you that I am excited 🤩 and a bit nervous!

Is it a good time for me to commit to writing every day for 30 days? What am I going to write about?

I bet this resonates with some of you! Luckily, there is also this shiny voice whispering that sailing the ship is always a good decision 😎

When starting a new cohort, I like to remember three things. I hope these bits of advice will also help you sail the ship smoothly and successfully!

1/ Clearly state your intention(s)

Why are you doing this? Have a clear intention in mind, so you can refer to it every day, especially on those days where it’s going to be challenging (and it will, sometimes 😉).

I want to write every day for 30 days and experiment with different topics and writing styles.

2/ Engage with the community

I underestimated this one big time on my first cohort.

Spend some time reading and commenting on others’ essays. This will help you feel part of a community, motivate you to write, learn from others, and even give you essays ideas.

3/ Don’t seek perfection — just hit publish

What allowed me to never fail on writing every day for 30 days was that I forced myself to hit publish even if I wasn’t happy with what I wrote. So, let go of the expectations you may have and embark on this sail with an open mind (and heart!).

I am wishing you all a fun and rewarding ride! 🚢 🙌 ❤️
